Up to this point in my blog I have focused primarily on written content for your spiritual ethical will. Today I’d like to look at a couple different ways that you can preserve and present your ethical will, audio and video recordings. These optional recording methods will allow you to deliver your message personally to your family and loved ones and provide your survivors with the treasure of your image and voice.
The first method that you can use to record your ethical will is a simple audio recording. Audio recordings can be done via a microphone hooked up to your computer, the use of a tape style audio recorder or a digital style audio recorder. If you use this method to deliver your ethical will, it is still a good idea to have a transcript of the recording to make sure that people have a hardcopy of your wishes and words of wisdom.
The second method that you can use to record your ethical will is a video recording. Video recordings are a preferable method for delivering your ethical will because it provides your heirs with an audio and visual memory that they can pass down to future generations. It also provides you with the most opportunities to use your imagination and to be creative. Consider adding a soundtrack, news clips, interviews with family members and clips from family movies to enhance you video ethical will.
Creating a creative ethical will is a great way to establish your legacy and to entice your heirs to create their own spiritual ethical will traditions.
