Today we are going to start a new project, the creation of an ethical will pendant. These pendants make great keepsake gifts for the people that mean something to you. To complete this project you will need a pendant shaped piece of wood or plastic, a pendant ring, an inkjet printer, a chain, a small paint brush or sponge brush and decoupage.
The first step is to come up with a simple, one line statement that sums up your philosophy on life. This line can come from your ethical will, it can be a line from a famous speech or it can be a line from some other reference source. This is the line that will be put on your pendant so make it special.
Step two is to use your word processor to type out your line and format it so it will fit on your pendant. To make it look nice select a font style and color that is decorative but still easy to read.
Step three is to print out your saying. Once it is printed out you will want to place your pendant form over the saying and trace the outline of the pendant. Next cut out this shape cutting inside the line. This will keep the paper from overlapping the edges of your pendant form.
The final step is to use your decoupage to glue the paper to the pendant form and to seal the paper on the pendant by applying a top coat of decoupage. Once this is dry you can attach your pendant loop, string the chain and give it away to your heirs.
