Last week we talked about using ethical letters as a way to add spirituality to your last will and trust. This week I want to expand on this topic. There are several instances in your life where you will want to document how you are feeling. Getting married is one of those moments. This is one of the moments in your life where you are going to feel the most love for your mate and life partner. No matter what happens in your relationship down the road, documenting your love at this peak moment is important for remember this important relationship in your life.

There are several ways that you can address your marriage and feelings about your bride to be or groom to be. Your first option is to write them an ethical letter and attach it to your last will and trust. This letter can include your thoughts about the wedding, your feelings about your spouse-to-be or simply a love letter to your spouse-to-be. These letters can be as sentimental, funny or serious as you feel is appropriate. While it is important to express your love in whatever way you want, don’t feel that you have to compose a novel to tell your spouse how much you love them. Some people will get by with a couple lines or a couple of pages.

Your second option is to create a personal journal entry to add to a more comprehensive spiritual ethical will. If you are journaling for your ethical will then you will want to date and label your entry. While not all marriages will last for ever, these entries are still important to keep, because they help to document what happened in your life and what events formed your final personality.

Ethical letters and spiritually charged ethical essays, are great for both exploring your own life and offering your survivors with a glimpse into what made you, you. An ethical will is your last line of communication with your loved ones, so make it count.
